At every board meeting during the school year, Mesa Public Schools will recognize a Spotlight School. The Spotlight School at the November 12 meeting is Stevenson Elementary. Below are principal Kelsey Christofferson's remarks on each honoree.
Exceptional Student - Kiara Castelan Santiago

Known for her empathy and genuine friendship, Kiara is someone who makes everyone feel valued and included. Whether helping classmates understand a tricky lesson or offering a kind word to someone in need, she goes out of her way to show she cares. Her peers look up to her as a role model, inspired by her positive attitude and willingness to lend a helping hand.
Kiara has previously served on our student council and continues to serve as a student ambassador, proudly representing our school and displaying the true spirit of a Stevenson Stallion.
